Jardin acquires resin production facility EKF

Garden Furniture manufacturer Jardin Netherlands B.V. (Jardin) can confirm the acquisition by July 1st of the Enschedese Kunststof Fabriek B.V. (EKF), a production facility for resin products. The former factory for Hartman, EFK is recognized for its knowledge of producing resin products using the most sophisticated injection moulding technology. Moreover, EKF has successfully diversified its portfolio and established a wide customer base over the last few years. In addition to its machines and equipment, Jardin will take over the complete workforce of EKF, who currently employ 40 people.

Jardin has enjoyed an enormous increase in demand over the last few years. This growth is mainly due to the development of its full resin wicker lounge sets. “In order to fulfill the increasing demand in the future, the purchase of a new factory was a necessary venture. With its excellent knowledge of injection moulding, especially on Garden Furniture, EKF will offer a major expansion of Jardin’s current production capacity and client portfolio. This, in turn, will enable us to serve the European market even better in the upcoming years”, said Managing Director Marcel Koekoek.
